Czech Republic and Liberec

The Czech Republic is a landlocked country in Central Europe. The country is bordered by Germany to the west, Poland to the north, Austria to the south and Slovakia to the east. Its capital and largest city is Prague. The Czech Republic is a member of the European Union.

Liberec is a city located on the Lusatian Neisse and surrounded by the Jizera Mountains and Ještěd-Kozákov Ridge, it is the fifth-largest city in the Czech Republic.

The conference registration desk is located in building G 3rd floor on Tuesday from 8:00 to 10:00. Later registration is possible at TMM secretary in building F.

  • By Air

    The nearest international airport is Prague Letiště Václava Havla (PRG). The intercity bus station in Prague is Černý most. From Letiště to Černý most you can go:

    1) By bus number 119 go to stop Nádraží Veleslavín and continue by metro line A to Můstek and then by line B to Černý most

    2) By bus number 100 go to stop Zličín and continue by metro line B to Černý most

    3) By taxi

    Before using the Prague city-bus or metro you have to buy a ticket. The ticket costs 32 CZK and it is valid for 90 min. At the beginning you have to validate your ticket in the ticket machine located in the bus. The same ticket is then also valid for the metro. From Praha-Černý most to Liberec you can go by coach. The ticket costs approximately 100 CZK. See the timetables and prices at Student agency or IDOS. From Liberec intercity bus station to the residence (or hotel) it is best to go by taxi.

    Alternatively the German airport in Dresden (DRS) can be used.

    If you want to come by car see a map with access road.
    Note that Londýnská street is closed due to the bridge reconstruction.

You can pay the accommodation in the University residence only in advance and only cash in Czech crowns
